nQ Zebraworks CEO Bill Bice was recently featured on the Reinventing Professionals podcast, hosted by attorney, author, and leading legal industry analyst Ari Kaplan on how the pandemic impacted how law firms approach their workflows, the challenges and opportunities associated with hybrid operations, and what legal technology companies can do to facilitate the broader adoption of their products.
When asked if hybrid operations were going to be a long-term change in law firms, Bice predicts that, “Certainly to some level. There’s a really big difference between size of firms. Essentially, most every large law firm is running hybrid today. A lot of mid-size firms went remote for a month or two, then effectively came back to the office full-time, but I’ve also talked to a lot of mid-size firms that have adopted a hybrid model, and their attorneys and staff want that. It’s a really interesting conflict: you have the senior management of firms that as a general statement would prefer to have everyone back in the office, but then you have a lot of partners, associates and staff as a whole that prefer the hybrid model.”
